My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zeke

Zeke is a 1 year 7month old, gorgeous, high energy charmer. He is seeking a home within a 50 mile radius of Tucson. Zeke needs a beagle savvy person who knows that Zeke will outgrow puppyhood once he is over 3 years old. Zeke needs a dog to play with. Otherwise to say you will be running most of the day , every day, with Zeke is a gross understatement of fact . Just want you to be aware of his energy level. An irritating favorite activity of Zeke's is jumping. He loves to jump. On tables, counter tops, stove tops, any flat surface and if it has food on it -- JACKPOT! Children should be at least 12 years old due to his jumping. See Zeke. Jump Zeke. See Zeke Jump. Jump, jump, jump! Zeke loves to cuddle. He will sleep draped across your lap and wag his tail while he is sleeping. Zeke, at times, plays rough. A simple "HEY" will stop Zeke and he will walk away If you are looking for that "perfect, well behaved" dog. Zeke is NOT that dog. Zeke will need to be trained on what is good to do and what is bad to do in your household. 100% guaranteed Zeke is NOT a mind reader. Only someone who appreciates a challenge will find that sweet, loving beagle that Zeke is. Find the adoption application here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1SnhudHYFJaPfZyCeKy36-9pbowOVOI-xrX4TIiSIxl4/edit His adoption fee is $300.

Additional adoption info

We generally require the following in an adoption:
• A signed, dated and completed adoption application.
• A home visit prior to the adoption.
• The adopter must be capable of caring for the dog emotionally and financially in the long-term.
• The adopter should have a fenced yard.
• If a renter, the adopter must be able to provide documentation from the landlord explicitly stating that pets are o.k.
• If the adopter lives in a shared-wall environment, SoAZBR needs assurance that a barking, noisy beagle is permissible.
• The dog must have accessed to a heated/cooled house during the day.
• The adopter must contact SoAZBR if they can no longer keep their dog.
• The adopter will keep SoAZBR as a secondary contact on the dog's microchip information so that we may assist in reuniting beagle with owner.
• The adopter assumes all financial and legal responsibility for the dog upon signing the adoption contract.

SoAZBR does not conduct on-site adoptions at pet events. SoAZBR does not conduct adoptions for dogs as gifts. We require that the entire family be involved in the adoption of the dog.
