My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sandy is a very cute 4 year old, 20 pound Yorkie or Silky Terrier. She looks like a super-sized Yorkie. She came to us from a south Georgia animal control facility. Sandy was terrified of a leash and at first hid from her foster mom. Now Sandy will hop up on the sofa and roll over for tummy rubs and probably feels secure now. She's all cleaned up now and ready for her new home.

An ideal home for Sandy would be with someone who has experience with fearful dogs. She needs a quiet home and someone who will pet her and build her confidence. Sandy is happy to sleep in her crate at night and walks right in at bedtime. She's working on housetraining and always goes potty outdoors when taken out. Sandy will need continued training on basic obedience plus potty training. As long as she is taken outdoors every 2-3 hours, Sandy won't soil indoors.

Sandy has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for heartworms. Her adoption fee is $350.00.
