Meet adorable Alyster! Alyster is a three-year-old Chihuahua mix that was one in a group of 11 dogs saved by Chi Town Rescue. He is a cute and quiet dog that loves to go out to the play yard with his other buddies, soak up some sun and play with toys. All of the 11 were very unsocialized when they came to the rescue but with time and patience, Alyster now rolls over on his back for belly rubs with those he knows and trusts. Alyster is ready for his new furever home for foster home. He's going to be shy when he meets new people but he will warm up to his new owners; especially if you have hot dog treats to give him! Alyster is neutered, has a microchip and up to date on his vaccines. If you would like to meet Alyster to see if he's a good fit in your home, please contact Chi Town Rescue via email at chitownrescue@gmail.com to make an appointment for a meet and greet.

More about this rescue
"Chi Town" is short for "Chihuahua Town," which is our nick-name because we found that the majority of animals we were rescuing happened to be Chihuahuas and literally have a little “town” comprised of Chihuahuas! Chihuahuas are one of the most over-bred dogs in Arizona and unfortunately many end up in need of rescue. However, we are not limited to saving just Chihuahas, we do save other breeds dependent on availability of space. Chi Town also specializes in rescuing dogs who require a little extra TLC and are at risk of euthanasia at county shelters. These dogs may not be doing well for a variety of reasons- fear, fear aggression, anxiety, or a medical issue to name a few. These are the dogs that typically have no other outlet and for which time is of the essence . After our dogs are medically cleared and/or their behavioral issues have improved, they are available for adoption.
Please be aware that we do our very best to answer all questions in a timely manner.
We are always seeking to help promote these special Chihuahuas who are too often overlooked in AZ shelters due to the sheer volume of this breed. Please share and like us on Facebook:
