My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gus is an incredibly loving, loyal, and playful dog. He has been at the shelter since March 2023, so for most of his little life! He wants to be where you are, no matter where that is -- he'll try to sleep across your lap, and will follow you from room to room as you do chores around the house. He has a lot of energy and would be ideal in a home that can walk him at least twice a day, with some play time in between (he's an excellent hiking buddy!). We have left him at home for up to 8 hours when absolutely necessary! He is fully crate-trained and house-trained, aside from 1 or 2 accidents in the house when we first brought him home from the shelter. Gus has been very responsive to training, and has improved his listening skills on-leash and with food incentives. He plays very gently with our own dog!
