Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Silly, Cuddly, Independent
When Chilton's foster brought him home, this curious cat went exploring! He made sure to hit up every nook and cranny in her apartment to see where the best spots to hang out were.
He gives her a chuckle still as he rotates through all the places to sit in her home. So far, he hasn't found a favorite, though he's discovered hanging out with her on the couch is a great place to be. When he sees her there he runs over with a 'meow' of excitement - he's about to get loved on! He also sweetly snuggles with her all night long.
Chilton enjoys his independence and alone time, too, picking a spot that's comfortably tucked away to take a nap or enjoy a sunbeam. He's not too energetic, but he does love to chase a toy with feathers.
Chilton looks for attention and tries to lure you in by showing his fluffy belly. You won't be able to help yourself, but no worries! It's not a trap! Chilton actually enjoys belly rubs. He loves being pet anywhere, really. He's not shy about pets. He particularly loves to snack on the tuna and crab Churu while curled up in a cozy lap.
Chilton also cracks his foster up with his gift for gab. This cutie talks ALL the time. He has so many different meows, and sometimes it sounds like he is speaking English. It's hilarious! He also has cute little chirps that he does often. He's a kitty who likes to be heard!
Chilton is a social guy who welcomes all visitors, even kids! He is so happy for the attention he'll circle around you, rubbing his head against you. His easy-going personality helps him to be open to new relationships. He really thrives in a calm environment with laid-back people who are on his wavelength.
After a thorough belly rub session, Chilton will be so relaxed he'll want to go take a nap. Maybe you will, too! Do you have a nice couch to hold the two of you? Bring him home and test it out!
Chilton Years has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Chilton Years can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine. Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
