My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maddie is an amazing companion, this happy medium energy 45lb girl enjoys quiet walks, car rides and naps in the sun. She may be part hound as she loves following scents she catches. Her favorite activities include gazing into her human’s eyes, snuggling, giving kisses and loads of belly rubs.
Maddie has impressed her foster family with her gentle nature and eagerness to please. She responds to basic commands like sit & come, is housebroken and has great behavior in the house. She seemed to have been trained to stay off furniture and is happy to lay at your feet, but loves it even more when you join her for cuddles.

Maddie has lived in a home with dogs and cats. She came to us underweight and may have had a rough past. Some dogs are scary to her on walks and she likes to have a few minutes to approach new people at her own pace. Then she quickly warms up and asks for pets.
She’ll do best in a home with kids over 12.
