My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sassy!

The name’s Sassy, but I’m anything but! I came to Albert’s after my human dad passed away, so I’ve always been in a loving home. I’m potty trained and walk well on a leash (and with my thick coat, I’m ok going out or for walks even on these cold days). I can be crated if you want, but I don’t really love it and I probably don’t need it, since I’m well behaved in the house. I’m turning 8 years old soon, which means I'm a senior lady now.

Because we’re part of the royal family, people often forget that us corgis are also a working breed with a job to do. Do you have any sheep that need organizing? Give me a call! Sometimes, I get a little confused, and I try to herd (and nip at) sheep-sized dogs (and sometimes they don’t like that). But right now, I live in a foster home with little dogs, and I don’t confuse them with sheep. I get along with the other dogs, but I don’t play. I’d also be fine as an only pup.

I’m a super sweet loving girl who loves to be with my humans and will immediately roll over for tummy rubs. I live with two little humans, and I always check on them to make sure they are ok. I do jump up to get pets, which sometimes the smaller humans don’t like because I can accidentally knock them over.

I’m a floofy girl who doesn’t need grooming but will need regular brushing to cut down on the shedding. I could also probably work on losing a few pounds (I’m currently 38 lbs). Good thing one of my favorite snacks is ice cubes. They are lo-cal! When I hear the ice machine, I come running. I don’t have any known health issues, and I don't take any meds. I'm pretty perfect, and I'd love to go home with you if you think we are a good match!

*Sassy is being fostered in Madison.
