HI, I'M LECKIE!

I'm still here, patiently waiting for my forever home. Can you believe I'm turning ONE in December and haven't had a single application yet? Look at my adorable sock feet! I mean, come on, how can you resist these paws?

I've watched my whole family-yes, even my siblings and parents-find their homes, and I'm just here hoping it's my turn soon. My foster home is great, but what I really want for my birthday is a forever family of my own. Could that be you?

Let me tell you why I'm pretty awesome:

Almost ONE year old! I'm the perfect combo of playful pup and clever grown-up!

White socks for days: These white-tipped paws are my signature look. Admit it, you've never seen socks cuter than these!

I'm a social pup: I love other dogs and can't wait to make some new furry friends! Cats? I'm still figuring them out.

House training? Got it. Crate training? No problem. Walking on a leash? I'm a pro!

I give the best hugs and kisses. Seriously, I'm a cuddle machine.

Fetch is my jam and crunching on ice cubes is my guilty pleasure. Let's play!

Adventure ready: I'll walk beside you like a champ, but if a squirrel or rabbit shows up, I'm ready for action!

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Fill out an adoption form found on the animal's profile at www.straypawsrescue.com

2.
Interview

Once the application is reviewed, it is sent to the foster and they will reach out to you in 1-3 days.

3.
Meet the Pet

The foster will set up a time and place for you to meet the pet. We will also need to meet your resident pets if you have them.

4.
Home Check

We will do a home visit to ensure the foster animal goes to the right home. We will call your landlord if you rent.

5.
Approve Application

We call all 3 references. If you have a resident pet, we will call their vet to confirm they are up to date on vaccinations & altered.

Additional adoption info

All adoption fees are payable the day the contract is finalized.
Please note our adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies 6 months and younger - $325.00
Young adults 7 months-6 years - $300.00
Adults-Seniors: 7 years+ - $200.00
Cats and kittens - $150.00
Pair of kittens - $275.00

PLEASE NOTE OUR ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS
By submitting this application there is no guarantee that we will place a dog or cat with you.
We only adopt to families within 50 miles of St. Louis, MO.

We do not have a shelter. We are foster based only.
All adoptions require a completed application

We are a 501c3 licensed non profit organization in St Louis, Missouri. We are foster based and have a passion for helping the animals who have been dumped and abandoned in St Louis city. We also work hard to help save those in high kill shelters that are scheduled to be euthanized. We believe in that all pets deserve a second chance and that there is a home for everyone.
