Our posts about Miss Smiley need all the love and shares they can get! This girl is so special, and she deserves a happily ever after! Smiley was an owner surrender to Kentucky River Regional Animal Shelter back in November and before that she likely spent her life on a chain somewhere being used for breeding. This perfect girl is now spayed and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. She is heartworm positive and will need treatment, but she has wonderful people willing to donate to the treatment she needs! If you or anyone you know may be interested in adding this amazing lady to your family, or if you have connections with a rescue who could help, please let me know!
Here is some additional info about Smiley:
Smiley is an older gal with a chill personality but still will get excited and romp around for belly rubs and a chance to show you her beautiful smile!
She would probably do best in a home as an only pet or with someone who could provide her with training for her doggy manners. She could possibly do really well with another dog who is very playful as well! She has probably not had many positive interactions with other animals aside from her own puppies so she gets overly excited, and she also seems to think that she needs to be a mother to small dogs! She has met a cat in her foster home and seems to be okay with him but also gets excited when he does something interesting.
Smiley is a couch potato and enjoys nothing more than hanging out with her people and snuggling!
She weighs 72 pounds. She looks like an American Staffordshire Terrier or a similar breed so she is a beautiful stocky girl!
Smiley walks really well on a leash and is completely potty trained as well!
