Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Twila and Rudolph are a young couple of Pekins rescued from abandonment at a pond in early December. Twila is a female and Rudolph is a male. Twila has a reserved, spicy little personality. Rudolph has become more human socialized during his rehab and even enjoys being picked up. He has the sweetest little puppy eyes. Together they make a great pair! They are likely around 1 year old. Twila and Rudolph will arrive happy and healthy, having completed a full quarantine and testing negative for parasites. Rudolph does great with other drakes and Twila is as sociable as any other lady duck. They would do wonderfully as your only pair OR being integrated with other ducks.
WHY SHOULD YOU ADOPT A DRAKE?
- He will make your ladies feel safe!
- He will chaperone them and provide moral support during nesting and laying!
- He will help you herd your ladies to bed at night!
- He won't have any reproductive/egg-related health issues to worry about!
- He'll make you laugh with his big personality (especially Pekins)!
- He will fulfill your ladies' special needs in a way that nobody else can!
As flightless domestic ducks, Twila and Rudolph need a safe and secure area (such as an aviary or run) during the daytime when not directly supervised. During the nighttime, they need a fully enclosed coop to be safe from predators. We also ask that our adopters have access to an avian veterinarian in case of illness or injury. No pond? No problem! Domestic ducks do much better with kiddie pools that can be scrubbed and refilled regularly for their health.
Nowhere near Pennsylvania? Also not a problem! We do long-distance transport for loving duck homes regularly. Please still get in touch and fill out an application if you'd like to be the lucky adopter of a rescue duck!
New duck caretakers, or experienced flock guardians, we provide support and guidance 24/7 for life. Please adopt a duck so that we have the space to rescue another one in urgent need!
