Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Quick Facts:
Estimated Birthday: 1/24/2023
Breed: Great Dane Mix
Size: roughly 105 pounds
House Trained: Yes
Athena came to the rescue after an amazing bystander overheard her owners planning to dump her at a dog park! This hero bystander jumped in and contacted us about taking in the dog.
Athena Darla may be a big girl, but she only has two speeds: 1. Play hard with other dogs, and 2. cuddle on the couch with a chew toy. Her favorite activity is playing with her foster dog brother, who is roughly about her size. She loves to cuddle with him and run in the yard with him. She is also a trained shadow to humans and will follow you around the house. A true definition of a velcro dog.
Athena Darla is very dog-friendly to both large and small dogs. She walks well on a leash but does not enjoy car rides. She won’t fight it, but it’s her least favorite activity. She has not been cat tested at this time. Athena Darla is fully potty-trained, but she will be resistant on rainy days. A girl can't get her paws wet.
Athena Darla does best crated while unattended for her safety. She can be a bit nosey and gets into things. She will need a heavy-duty crate in her forever home.
