Hi there! I'm Captain, a gentle 5-year-old boy who was rescued from a kill shelter by Big Dog Ranch Rescue. I'm on the lookout for my forever home, where I can feel safe and loved! At first, I can be a bit shy and timid, but with a little patience and understanding, I really open up and show my true personality. I just need a family who understands this! I get along well with other dogs, and having a furry friend in the home would definitely help me gain confidence and settle in more easily. Watching other dogs play gives me joy and helps me learn the ropes! I have a moderate energy level, which means I enjoy playful moments but also cherish those quiet times. I thrive in a calm environment where I can relax and feel secure. If you're looking for a sweet companion who just needs a little extra love and time to blossom, I might just be the perfect match for your family!

If you are interested in adopting a dog from us please visit our website adoptions page to complete an adoption application. at www.bdrr.org/adopt. This will help us make sure we find you the right dog to fit your situation and family. Once you have completed the application, we will contact you to let you know you have been approved and then you will be able to set up an appointment to come and meet dogs you are interested in. Our adoption fees range depending on the dog's breed, age and other factors.
