Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you want to enjoy sweet holiday treats year-round, have we got the girl for you! Figgy Pudding came to us right before Christmas and was appropriately named for how deliciously sweet she is.
This 4-5-year-old gal loves human attention and affection, but feels a little bullied by some of the other cats here with strong personalities. She's definitely on the demure and submissive side, and will hide if she feels threatened by them. A calm home either without other cats or chill ones with similar personalities would be best for her. She doesn't seem too bothered by dogs, but again, loud or hyper ones may scare her. Figgy is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
Apply to adopt your new best friend at www.secondchanceas.org/adopt or at the sanctuary any time we're open. Call 570-376-3646 or email secondchanceas@yahoo.com with any questions.

Interview
We will call your veterinarian and personal references. We'll also call you if we have questions or need more information.
3.
Approve Application
We will approve or deny the application. You may be approved to adopt, but not necessarily the same animal you originally applied for.

Meet the Pet
This may be done before applying. You'll be asked to sign an adoption contract and to make a certain donation amount, rather than a set fee.
Additional adoption info
We are passionate about pairing animals in need with loving families who would best suit their individual needs. NOTE: You do not have to apply for a specific animal on your application. You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.
