My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Pluto, and I am a mature adult of 4.5 years. I'm a cute little chunk of a guy. I came to APA from another rescue that housed me with other dogs, and I get along with others but don't like to roughhouse or play too much. I rather just chill.
I love people and will be a great part of most families. My only issue is I don't like cats. We can't all be perfect!
I love being spoiled and love to cuddle. I am obedience and house trained from the PAWS prison dog program. My trainer said I learn fast, take corrections well, and am very treat motivated. I do need to lose some more weight, so I am on a grain-free diet because I was having some issues with regular stuff.

More about this shelter

We are a progressive animal welfare group in Dona Ana County. We run an adoption center, the local pet food bank, a prison dog training program, and a thrift store. We rescue most of our animals from the municipal shelter and then ready them for adoption.
