Hi! I'm Blueberry, one half of the dynamic duo that my foster mom lovingly calls the Girly Whirlys. You might have heard about us – the inseparable bonded sisters who go by the names Sofie and Blueberry. We're a packaged deal, and our foster mom insists that we must be adopted together. After all, what's Blueberry without Sofie, and vice versa? Our journey started with some challenges, coming from a meat breeder and dealing with abscesses. Thankfully we've fully recovered; we're spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and in good health. We might take a while to warm up to a new environment due to our early experiences, but underneath our shy exteriors, we're super sweet, a little silly, and extremely adventurous.
Now, about me – I'm Blueberry. I’m quite the entertainer, always ready to keep you in stitches with my regular antics. I’ve been referred to as a “curious explorer”, the chewer of all things interesting, and the jumper-on-anything-within-my-reach. I like to lead an active lifestyle, so I need a lot of run time. But, of course, safety is a priority, so I must be supervised or in a rabbit-safe space.
I also have great escape artist skills. Sofie and I like to make a lot of noise with our pen and occasionally attempt a midnight exploration if we're feeling bored or run out of hay. We've learned to let our foster mom know about our predicament by making quite a ruckus.
Mornings are my favorite part of the day. I love helping foster mom get ready for work, circling around her feet, and distracting her with my adorableness. Sofie and I like to be wherever our foster mom is, following her from room to room during our free time.
I’m not just about hopping around or hatching master escape plans; I’m also a food enthusiast with a big appetite. Cilantro is a particular favorite, along with the occasional carrot, basil, or parsley. I love various lettuces, fruits, Oxbow hay, pellets, and anything else that's safe for me to chew on.
Cleanliness might be a bit of a debate in the bunny kingdom, but I am a litter box expert. If the setup isn't to my liking (full of hay and fresh litter, of course), well, the floor becomes an acceptable alternative. I’m a firm believer in the “feet on the ground” lifestyle. In fact, if I even suspect someone wants to pick me up, you'll witness the swiftness of my bunny retreat – a masterclass in evasion.
Currently, I reside in a home with 4 other bunny friends and 3 dogs. Now, here's a little secret – I’m not a fan of dogs or young children. I do, however, tolerate my considerate 14-year-old foster brother because, let's be honest, he's the one who sometimes feeds me and gives the essential fresh water (required at least twice a day). Sofie and I are on the lookout for a family that can shower us with time and attention, could that be you?

RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.
If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement. Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
