My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tipsy`s Story:
This gorgeous brown Pittie has had it rough but has come out just as happy and loveable as ever. She was dumped and abandoned at our main ranch facility where she was lost and scared. After she was not claimed at the city shelter, she was brought back to us! Shortly after, she was diagnosed with Parvo, in which she was quarantined and fighting for her life. She survived and came out as strong as ever.

Because she was quarantined for so long, she has big-girl energy and has received professional training. Her future adopter will receive a free session and consult with the trainer, so she can continue to learn in her future home. She does well with other dogs and enjoys the playful company.

Her ideal adopter would be someone who is willing to continue with her learning and growth.

This beauty is looking for her furrever family and has come so very far. If you are interested or have any questions, please stop by our main ranch facility or email dogswmr@gmail.com

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
