Cody is a Pointer (possibly mixed with a little Brittany a few generations ago) and he was in an over-crowded Southern Illinois shelter. I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Cody and I am so glad we got him into our program. Whatever his life was, whoever starved him, Cody is the just the epitome of everything we LOVE in our Pointer rescues. He is so friendly, happy and outgoing. If you will allow him- he will give you a Pointer hug, and one of my favorite things about this breed is that affectionate gesture. He needs to shed out some of the discolored hair on his fur, but otherwise he looks in good shape. There is a chunk of his ear missing and a little calcification on his front paw- but it doesn't seem to bother him.ern Illinois shelter. Cody is adjusting well to his new foster home. He loves everybody and is wiggly as can be. He is also super affectionate. His foster mom is spoiling him rotten and in proper Pointer fashion, he has already made himself comfy on the couch. He is also working on cage and house training. Cody is 3-4 years old and probably weighs 45- 50lbs.
We are looking for a Foster to Adopt home in the Chicago area since he will still need to be neutering in a few weeks. Potential new families will absolutely need to have a safe fenced in yard (no invisible fences).
Please give Lisa a call at 630-694-1359 if you are interested in Foster to Adopt.
