Thank you for interested in adopting Dany. Please know that Dany is an international rescue. When your application is approved, you will need to pick him up from the airport - such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, ONT, IAH, YVR, etc. International adoption is not a complicated process and we‘ve done the process many years. We would be happy to explain to you how the process works.
The rescuer drove through an orchard in July 2023 and found a small figure who looked terrified and seemed to have been abandoned recently on the path here. Dany was a puppy of about 3 months old at the time he was found in this rural area where there are no tourists and only a few residents. He was left here all alone, and if he was not rescued at the time, he would definitely not make it.The rescuer got out of the car and called to the puppy, and found that he was very friendly. He immediately ran over to seek affection, and got into the car with her to go home. Because the rescuer had other dogs and cats at home, she was worried that Dany would be nervous or scared. To her surprise, Dany was super friendly when first introduced to her pack. He was integrated into this big family instantly and seamlessly. Rescuers named him Dany.
With people: Integrate in quickly, regardless of age and gender. Observe strangers ant first and quickly open up.
With dogs: Likes to make friends and playmates, will take the initiative to get close to sniff, and gets along with new friends.👉 If he sees a unknown dog outside while riding in the car, he will bark.
With cats: friendly and want to play with them.👉 Will bark at cats while riding in the car too.
Dany has no food-guarding behavior towards people or dogs, but he loves to eat and can share food with dogs. However, he is a fast eater. If he eats with other dogs, Dany may steal all the food in the bowl, thus, we don’t recommend feeding Dany and other dogs using the same bowl.
Dany is sensitive to sounds. When he hears strange noises or there are strange dogs outside, he will bark to alert. He is especially afraid of sudden loud noises such as fireworks and thunder, like many dogs.
Dany prefers (and only) to go do his business outdoors and never indoors.
Dany is also a boy who loves to play with water (if you like a water dog, he’s your guy), so taking a bath is no problem for him. He also adapted well to car rides and had no motion sickness. Dany enjoys the outdoors and car trips. When he reaches his destination, he gets very excited and wants to jump out of the car as soon as possible. Therefore, we strongly recommend that he wears a seatbelt or a car harness in the car to secure him safely.
Dany has been living with other dogs since he was rescued and has not developed separation anxiety issues. When Dany comes to a family without a dog, he will definitely need time to adapt at first, and the family must be patient and give him time to learn to be independent.
⚠️Dany is still in Taiwan. If you are interested in adopting Dany, please go through our international adoption process. Feel free to send us a message for more information.

More about this rescue
We are a small group of pet rescuers in CA and WA from Taiwan.
We rescue dogs and cats that needs help around us.
Save a life don't need a reason, it's just a beautiful things that everyone should do.
Seeing those once starved,
maltreated and homeless dogs transforming into confident, lively fur babies is what propels us. Finding a loving, forever home for the rescued dogs has been our ultimate goal.
---
For over 10 years, our foundation has been providing rescue dogs for international adoption to families in cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Vancouver. After the application and approval process, we fly the dogs with volunteers to the desired destination for the completion of your adoption.
Formosa Mountain Dog (FMD) is a type of Taiwanese mixed breed. Most of it is Labrador or shepherd and Taiwan dog mixd breed. The rescues are usually abandoned, abused, and/or without a home. We take them in, provide them with a complete health check up, and spay and neuter as needed. Their information is then posted on our websites and social media, ready to be adopted.
You will see that most of our dogs are still in Taiwan. Only a few are local. The process of adoption takes careful consideration of the application and understanding of the environment to which we will send the adoptees. Currently, we do not have enough foster homes for an intermediary home, so we have to make sure there is a home for the rescues before we send them overseas.
As the dogs await their forever homes, we will continuously update their growth through photos and videos. This helps to provide the adopting families with more understanding of the temperament of the dogs to be ready for their adoption. Finally, after 14 hours of air travel, with the aid of our volunteers, the adopting family (you) will just need to arrive at the airport to meet your new family member!
