Meet Shea!

Shea is a well-trained, loving dog who knows all the basics—sit, lay, wait,shake! This smart girl is also potty-trained, waiting patiently until 7 AM to go outside. While she was crate-trained in the past, Shea now enjoys her outdoor doghouse when there are visitors or little ones in the yard.

Shea has boundless energy and loves chasing after balls and swimming in the pool. She’s never shown food aggression and sits patiently for treats, making her a quick learner and easy to train.

Though Shea is good with other dogs, she prefers to be the queen of her space. She can be a bit anxious around small children and may bark, but it’s just out of nervousness.

If you’re looking for a loyal, playful dog with a big personality and a love for swimming, Shea could be the perfect match for you!

Once your application is submitted and approved for the dog you are interested in, someone will call you to start the adoption process

ADOPTION FEE*: Fees vary due to costs put into them, but START at $400 for adults and $500 for puppies.

The adoption fee is for the adoption of the pet. We make sure that our animals are or will be spayed/neutered, receive the proper vaccines and are microchipped and we cover the cost for that if it's not already done before you adopt.

More about this rescue

A Wish for Animals is an all volunteer run organization trying to help as many homeless animals as possible. We work tirelessly to help these animals become adoptable and work hard to find the them the right match so that you can enjoy your pet for the rest of its' life.

During Covid we have been inundated with applications, so please be patient with us as we all work full time as well and are doing our best to care for our animals and find the right homes for them.
