Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meredith is a puppy mill survivor! She waited almost 6 years to get her chance at freedom and now she has it!
Meredith is flourishing in a foster home but she is shy of new people and situations and small children make her nervous. She would do best in a home without small children who live there, visiting would be ok.
Meredith has learned freedom is great and she likes to run around the yard, chase playfully after the cat and thinks crinkle toys are the best thing since sliced bread! She gets along great with other dogs, but is a bit mischievous and likes to steel their chewies and run off with them! She knows that the biggest dog bed in the house is hers and you can't convince her that the smaller one is meant for her to sleep in.
She has gotten comfortable enough with foster mom that she seeks attention and likes to be petted. She also loves dinner time and gets super excited to eat.
Meredith will require a secure physical fenced yard as she is considered a flight risk. This is for her safety and her parent's sanity! She would do best in a home with another dog to continue learning how to be a pet. If you do not have a dog then experience with insecure puppy mill dogs is a MUST!
Meredith's adoption fee is $315. She is spayed, received a dental, microchipped, current on vaccines and on monthly flea and heart worm prevention. Please visit leiashope.org for our adoption process.
NOTE: WE ARE A VOLUNTEER RAN ORGANIZATION AND OUR APPLICATION PROCESS CAN TAKE 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS, DEPENDING ON OUR AVAILIBILITY AND YOUR REFERENCES.
