Lucille is not your ordinary cat; she's a bundle of energy and enthusiasm wrapped in a furry coat. With her lively personality and love for play, she brings joy and excitement to any household lucky enough to have her.
From the moment you meet Lucille, her sociable nature shines through. She thrives on interaction and craves attention from her human companions. Whether it's a gentle stroke on her soft fur or a cozy snuggle session on the couch, Lucille revels in the warmth of companionship.
But Lucille isn't just a cuddlebug; she's a playful adventurer at heart. With a penchant for excitement, she's always where the action is. You'll often find her darting around the house, chasing after feather wands or pouncing on anything that moves. Her love for play knows no bounds, and she's constantly seeking out new ways to engage her curious mind and agile body.
One of Lucille's favorite pastimes is birdwatching. With a keen eye and quick reflexes, she perches herself by the window, captivated by the flurry of activity outside. The sight of chirping birds and fluttering wings brings out her inner hunter, and she watches with fascination, imagining herself in the midst of the action.
But Lucille's adventurous spirit doesn't end there; she's also a skilled climber. Give her a cat tree or a towering shelf, and she'll ascend to new heights with grace and agility. From her elevated vantage point, she surveys her domain with a sense of pride, reveling in the thrill of exploration.
However, Lucille's social nature has a sensitive side too. She may occasionally vocalize her feelings, especially when left alone. Her plaintive cries serve as a gentle reminder of her need for companionship and affection. To keep her content, it's important to shower her with love and attention, ensuring she feels secure and cherished at all times.
In summary, Lucille is a social butterfly, a playful adventurer, and a loving companion all rolled into one. With her boundless energy and zest for life, she enriches the lives of those around her, filling every moment with laughter, love, and endless joy.

If you are interesting in meeting any of our pets, the process is to complete an application. It can be downloaded as a pdf document from our website and submitted by email to WindyRidgeRescue@gmail.com as a scanned document or as photos OR can be completed entirely online. Both links are in the header of our website.
Because we are foster based, we require an approved application to schedule a meet and greet. We feel that is fair to our fosters and rescues so every meet and greet can result in an adoption. A limited number of cats are showcased at Peetco in Sumter, SC weekly.
âWe do not have set adoption fees for dogs, but hope adopters will donate generously so we can rescue more. The medical care for every dog can easily exceed the adoption donation. Average adoption fees for dogs in the area range from $175 up to $450. Your generous adoption donations help us continue our programs of providing quality food and medical care to those who pass through our fosters.
We ask for a minimum adoption donation of $70 for cats who are not yet altered and $100 for cats who are already spayed or neutered, regardless of age. Please bring your own carrier for the ride home! Each cat is up to date on vaccinations, dewormer, and microchipped. Larger donations are always welcome so we can rescue more. Medical care for each cat easily exceeds the minimum donation.
âAs with every rescue, our resources are limited and the need for rescue help is unlimited. Your generosity helps us to rescue more and funds the only Trap Neuter Return Program in the county. It's like tossing $100 bills in the woods when we trap a cat, vaccinate and spay or neuter that cat and then return them to the colony. Young kittens are tamed and available for adoption. We are alone doing this in our area. Your increased donation at the time of adoption can help us cover costs for the cat becoming part of your family as well as a feral to prevent more feral litters.
âAdopting or fostering for a rescue frees up a space where a new rescue can reside.
âIf you can't adopt or foster, than please consider donating.
