Prime is an estimated 8-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix, and has been through SO much in his year with us! From narrowly escaping a euthanasia date at a high-kill shelter, a distemper scare, surviving an awful case of kennel cough, surviving heartworm treatment, being diagnosed with elbow dysplasia, and most recently getting through a pancreatitis flare up. And while all of these milestones were terrifying, he has celebrated some pretty amazing milestones, too!
In the past year, Prime has learned what it’s like to live in a home where he’s loved and cared for. He’s learned to trust his people, and how to be the best lap dog (even if he’s a bit bigger than your average lap dog). He’s learned that zooming in the yard with his canine foster sibling is the most fun, especially when you don’t have to worry about where water or your next meal is coming from. And along the way, he’s made so many friends and memories that help cancel out all the bad he has had to go through before coming to rescue.
Now, we just want to find his final chapter: his forever home where he can spend his golden years. This boy is potty trained, crate trained, dog friendly, people friendly, and is overall just the best boy.
