Hellloooooo! My name is Kova and I am a 2 ½ year old, 104 lb female Great Dane. I came to New Start Dog Rescue when my family could no longer keep me. I am the bestest girl, well that’s what my foster mom tells me. She also says that I am very sweet and the best friend anyone could ask for since I love following my people around anywhere they go.
I’m a very good girl and don’t need to be crated. I have my own room with a big comfy dog bed to sleep on and if my foster mom has to be gone, I stay in there with a gate across the doorway and I’m happy to wait for her to return. I don’t have any accidents in the house and I love other dogs. I lived with a cat in my previous home so I love cats too! I get to hang out with kids when they visit and love them! Because I can be a big clumsy girl I may accidently knock over, sit on or bump into young small children. So not a good idea to have little ones in my home.
I am looking for what my foster mom tells me is my forever home. Did I say I was a really, really, really good girl? I don’t take things off the counters and rarely get on furniture. I sleep on my dog bed in my room quietly all night long by my choice even with the gate not up! I will bark and let you know someone is near the house or at the door. I do need a little bit to warm up to new people but can be bought with treats. I favor women, but I’ve met some men that I’ve loved too. I just need people that are patient and let me decide when I want to be your best friend!
Kova is being fostered in a private home. Appointments to visit her will be set up for approved adopters only. Her adoption fee is $350 which includes all age appropriate vaccines. She is spayed and microchipped. She is also up-to-date on all vaccinations and preventatives as well as Heartworm negative.
