My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Jericho! I'm a friendly fellow who loves to play. I was saved by the nice people at Suncoast Humane Society. I was put on the euthanasia list at my previous shelter for dog and people reactivity. Since being at Suncoast, I am what they call a helper dog. I help new dogs entering the playgroup feel comfortable and shows them the proper way to be a respectable pup. My play styles adjust according to the group I am placed in. I also love to play in the kiddie pools. If you would love a new addition to your family or if you have a dog who is scared I'm your boy.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
