Meet Firefox, an absolutely stunning little husky mix with a fiery spirit to match her looks and her name! This gorgeous girl has been through a lot in her young life, but now her luck has turned, and it's time for her to find her happily furever after ❤️
Firefox traveled all the way from Fort Albany with her five newborn puppies two months ago. Living outside her entire life, this poor pooch gave birth in frigid freezing temperatures, but Mama Firefox did an amazing job keeping her babies safe and warm until help came. Now that her puppies are grown and on the hunt for their furever families, it's Firefox's turn, too!
Firefox has been staying at a doggy daycare for the past eight weeks, and she's doing great! She's come so far in just a few weeks. She has very quickly picked up housetraining, crate training, and basic manners, as well as learning how to successfully coexist with dogs of all shapes and sizes. This sweet girl does have some insecurities around dogs she hasn't met before, but with slow and proper introductions, Firefox does great in a pack setting! That being said, this gorgeous girl would be more than content being the only dog in the home... All she wants to do is snuggle! Seriously, her happy place is anywhere she can rest her head on your lap. She absolutely adores love and attention. Firefox is also very food motivated; she would do anything for a treat or a piece of cheese!
Firefox is exceptionally well-behaved around people; she absolutely loves attention and sincerely aims to please with everything she does. Firefox has been through a lot, and does occasionally show some resource guarding behaviour towards other dogs when it comes to high value items or when cuddling with her foster parents, but again, she is very sensitive to correction and has already come a long way in a short time! Because of this, we are looking for experienced adopters for our foxy gal.
