Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Winston is super-sweet and a favorite of our staff and volunteers, and we'd like to find his forever home as soon as possible. He has a lovely chocolate-colored coat with wavy hair on his back, which makes us think he's a Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix. He's about 2 years old and very friendly, with a wonderful smile, as you can see on his video. Winston has kennel anxiety, so he really needs a home environment where he'll feel more comfortable than in a loud, stressful shelter. If you see him in his kennel he'll probably have his "security Kong," which helps him handle the stress. He's housetrained and walks well on his leash almost all the time; he might get excited if he sees something that interests him. He loves the water and will even play fetch with his Kong in a pool! We've been treating him for heartworms, which means he's on reduced activity until the treatment's done, but he can still have walks and lots of loving. He needs a home with no other dogs. He's treat-motivated, which is great for training. We think he'd be very happy in a relaxed home with a loving family or single owner. He's already neutered, microchipped and up to date on his shots. He wants to be your best friend forever, so please watch his video, then come on over and let our staff introduce you to Winston!
