Mac is a Blue Merle Australian Shepard and is just shy of 2 years old (5/15/2022). He is VERY energetic, as most Australian Shepards are. Over the past year, he has made worlds of progress as my spouse and I have merged homes following our marriage. He has had exposure to two older, well-behaved dogs and slowly, but surely, has made improvement. He was originally unable to go the day without having accidents in his kennel and was magnetized to the other dogs’ genitals and was incessantly humping. These issues have completely resolved. However, he has a jumping issue and newly developed snipping issue that has my spouse and I fearful as we are soon going to be welcoming a little girl into the world. The issue is that there is no consistency with which he does these things that allow for my spouse and I to train him to not do so. There does not seem to be any apparent trigger for these behaviors that we could then try to avoid or resolve. This leaves us in a constant state of cont….
