Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them.
When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.
Hi, my name is Mac, and I'm an adorable one year old GSD who is currently at THE HUMANE SOCIETY of BOULDER VALLEY. The shelter has asked FRGSR if they could help let potential adopters know of Mac's need for a home. You see, Mac's been at the shelter since September, and he'd really love to find a home and family of his own. He can be insecure when meeting new people and dogs, but he soon become besties with those who demonstrate a gentle and slow approach. He appears inexperienced when meeting new dogs, so it's recommended that dog introductions take place at the shelter if interested parties have other dogs. HSBV will only rehome Mac to a family with children ages ten or older.
Mac has received support from the training center for help with his socialization and dog reactivity that has helped a lot! HSBV is also offering adoption support with our training center.
For more information, please contact Humane Society of Boulder Valley at boulderhumane.org..
Although we do our best to keep our adoptable animals page as current as possible, the animals you see may already be in an adoption process.
