Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet DENVER, a charming guinea pig with a personality as unique as his coat. His pattern makes it look like he's wearing pants! Denver is a creature of habit, especially when it comes to mealtime. He's normally quiet but makes his presence known when it's time to eat.
Denver's adorable trait is 'popcorning' whenever his cage is clean, showing his appreciation for tidiness. He shares a special bond with his bar buddy, often playfully stealing hay through the fence. Once Denver warms up to you, he'll greet you for some gentle petting, especially if you bring his favorite Oxbow Bell Pepper treats (but please, no squash!).
Despite his arthritis, for which he takes a supplement, Denver enjoys exploring and burrowing under his blankets. He may be skittish at first, but once in his cuddle sack, he's the epitome of comfort and love.
He is a bit clingy and adores being near his bar buddy. He's not too fond of hides, preferring the company of his neighbor. Denver would thrive in a home where he can have a male bar buddy.
? Bar Buddy (n): Does not involve alcohol. A friend needed when a guinea pig cannot live in the same cage with another but needs the social interaction through the safety of the cage bars. Can also be referred to as a neighbor in the piggy world.
If you're looking for a sweet, adventurous, and loving companion, Denver might just be the one for you! So, if you have room in your heart (& home), please complete an application using the link below:

More about this rescue
We are a small foster based guinea pig rescue in Southern Maryland. Our 501c3 nonprofit rescue's mission is to educate the public on proper guinea pig care and husbandry as pet stores often misinform the public about cage size, nutrition, what is and is not safe, and guinea pigs are often mis sexed or sick at pet stores which leads to guinea pigs being surrendered or worse, abandoned outside. By adopting from rescues like ours, it helps to ensure adopters won't have surprise/unwanted pregnancies, unhealthy piggies, mis sexed guinea pigs while also helping guinea pigs to stay in their furever homes!
