My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eligible bachelor seeking cozy lap and endless snuggles!

Hi, I'm Floki! I've been told I'm quite the charmer, and I have to agree.

I started my journey on the streets of Minneapolis, living life on my own terms. It was exciting, but once some kind-hearted folks brought me indoors, I quickly discovered how amazing being a house cat truly is. Now, I'm all about snuggling under blankets with my humans and soaking up belly rubs.

I'm a laid-back guy who loves naps and tasty treats. While I have a playful side, especially when it comes to catnip toys and feather wands, I'm mostly about that chill life. I'd love to be the center of attention as your one and only pet, but I've lived with other cats before and could adjust to a friend with proper introductions. As for dogs-they seem to like me more than I like them, but I'm cool as long as they give me my space.

I do have a chronic allergy, but it's easily controlled with medication and a special diet to prevent my skin from becoming itchy.

If you're looking for a chill companion-someone to kick back and cuddle with after a hard day's work-I'm definitely the cat for you!

Floki is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for his age.

More about this rescue

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
