Hi, I'm Smoochie. I'm a pup from Puerto Rico, but my journey has been filled with uncertainty and longing. I have a moderate energy level, but my heart feels heavy as I search for a place to call home. I'm good on the leash and get along well with other dogs, yet I often find myself feeling lost and alone in a world that feels so big and overwhelming. I can be shy, carrying the weight of past experiences that make it hard for me to trust. Toys bring me fleeting joy, but it's the moments of cuddling that I crave the most-those quiet times when I can feel safe and loved. I'm just a gentle soul yearning for connection, hoping to find someone who sees my sadness and understands that I have so much love to give. If you're willing to open your heart and help me heal, I'd be forever grateful. Together, we could create a story of hope and redemption.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from us please visit our website adoptions page to complete an adoption application. at www.bdrr.org/adopt. This will help us make sure we find you the right dog to fit your situation and family. Once you have completed the application, we will contact you to let you know you have been approved and then you will be able to set up an appointment to come and meet dogs you are interested in. Our adoption fees range depending on the dog's breed, age and other factors.
