My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tyson is a darling little Cairn Terrier who is about 2 years old and weighs 9 pounds. He prefers women, but his wonderful foster family has been working with him and he's learning that men can be pretty great too!

He's an affectionate little guy and not a yapper like some terriers. He's very attentive and smart. He gets along fine with other small dogs (currently living with two others) but is a bit nervous around the big ones.

Tyson sometimes gets overstimulated when passing other dogs on leash, but his foster mom has been working with him, and he is really improving. He pays attention when she says "Tyson, look at me" if he gets too focused on someone approaching. Then when he passes them with no problem, he gets a treat. He still doesn't like to be focused on and approached by a stranger, but he is doing much better.

Tyson loves to be near his person but is not demanding of attention. He's happy to chill on his bed with a chewie. He has that great combination of independence and yet is also affectionate. Tyson will make a great little companion who's the perfect size to travel.
