Meet Champ, an adult dog with a heart as big as his playful spirit. He`s the kind of dog that will fill your home with gentle love and never-ending cuddles. He loves petting and belly rubs. Though he can be a bit nervous, his adorably gentle nature shines through. But don`t let his playful side fool you, he is also a lap dog at heart. He`s timid and shy, but with a gentle approach, he`ll warm up and show his submissive, lovable side. Because of his fears, he`ll need to live with children at least 12 years old. He adores other dogs and, even though he is normally fearful outside, he loves the dog park. Around dogs he is easygoing, friendly, and playful. He weighs 34 pounds and is moderately active. He enjoys running, toys, running, water, and more running. He doesn`t like walking on a leash and wants to be inside where he feels safe . He is still working on house training but is proud to announce that he learned how to use a doggie door in his foster home. His favorite snack is chicken but he`ll eat veggies too if you insist. Adopting him means gaining a loyal, loving companion who will bring joy into your life. He is just about the sweetest little guy you could ever hope to meet. CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.
