Hi there, I am Bolder and here's some information about me:

I was rescued along with my sister, Terry, from Texas about 2 years ago. Unfortunately, my current owner's living situation has changed and she has to find a new home for us as soon as possible or face eviction. At the moment we're forced to live in the garage so we're strongly missing our interactions with our humans. Ideally, it would be lovely if I could be adopted along with my sister Terry, as we are quite close, but if that's not an option we could go to different homes.
My current owner says that I am super sweet and I get along with... well anybody and everybody; kids, cats and other dogs (though I haven't been tested with toddlers). I love exploring the outdoors, going on adventures and just being the best bud to the kids. Having lots of energy, my favourtite thing is to run around and play all day (which is hard to do right now, living in the garage). A home with a big fenced-in yard for my sister and I will be the best thing ever!
Being alert and always looking out for my family, I will let you know if there's a stranger nearby. I also know commands like 'sit' and 'lay down' - I am eager to learn more! My current owner says that I am an affectionate boy and can't wait to give you all of my love!
Energy Level: High
My owner says that I get along well with cats, kids and other dogs.
Prey drive: none observed. My adopter needs to be willing to train me through these behaviours should they arise!
Fears: Unknown/none observed. Please be patient in assisting me in my transition.
Training: I know my name and I will come when called; I am also house trained. One thing I still need to work on is how to walk gently on a leash, without pulling - please be prepared to teach me!
Health Notes: I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.
Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.
The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.
Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if the dog is shown to be good with children we will approve homes with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.
