My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boxie is the most handsome bobtail kitten you will ever see!  He has the silkiest coat long coat and loves to be brushed.  Do you have a budget for a lot of tasty wet food?  Cause he loves to eat! He's bigger than expected for his age so we are wondering if that growth will continue and end up with him being larger than average perhaps- but we can't guarantee size of course.

Boxie was trapped on Boxing Day and has had an amazing transformation from being completely unsocialized to a perfectly domesticated housecat (follow his story on our Facebook!).  

He loves ball toys and catnip.  While not currently a big snuggler (that could change with neutering and/or maturity) on the couch or in bed, he'll reward you with a loud purr for the pets he receives while lounging around.

Because adjusting to people and indoor living is enough of an adjustment in an of itself, we are looking for an indoor only home, with no dogs or young kids.  Boxie gets along with cats in the foster home but would be fine solo as well.  

His adoption fee is $70 to help offset the costs of his neuter and vaccination (and all the food, haha!).  We honor our current and veteran military, first responders, teachers and healthcare workers with a $15 discount.  Reach out to us by email at opensandskittyrescue@gmail.com to request an application- we process them quickly and arrange a meet and greet soon!
