Meet Milky Way and Molly!
This adorable mother/daughter duo is looking for a permanent home. Milky Way (white) is a 7 year old purchased as a purebred Havanese (that seems to be one of those breeds that always look different… we would have guess she was a bichon or poodle mix 🤷‍♀️). Baby Molly is a 2.5 year old mix of Milky Way with a yorkie dad. She’s very attached to her mom and screams like she’s being painfully physically injured if they are separated. They weren’t too well socialized and are mostly sweet but anxious girls. Milky Way is friendly but likes her space at times, and Molly is more shy with new people but a cuddler once she warms up. Both are under 12lbs, spayed and updated on shots. They were mostly used to wee wee pads but have been following the other dogs out into a fenced yard pretty well and will need to get on a schedule in a new place. They are looking for a calmer adult home that agrees that 2 dogs are better than one and will keep them together. Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
