The Friends of the Jeanette Hunt Animal Shelter was started to assist the Jeanette Hunt (Blair) Animal Shelter in providing for the needs that are above and beyond the city’s budget. The Friends of the Jeanette Hunt Animal Shelter is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization registered in the state of Nebraska.

We are here to serve the citizens of Washington County, Nebraska by:

Promoting the humane treatment of companion animals

Minimizing the feral cat population through trap, neuter, and return (TNR)

Helping to reduce the number of injured and euthanized animals

Increasing pet adoptions

Supporting a safe and healthy pet with a friendly environment

Educating the community about responsible pet ownership

Other pets at this shelter
