My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOCATION: Dallas, Texas
DOB: 01/29/2020

Meet Chile, the playful Great Dane with a big, sensitive heart. At a manageable 90 lbs, he might be small for his breed, but he makes up for it with boundless affection. Chile takes a moment to warm up, needing time to trust and feel secure. New introductions, whether to people or pups, can make him a little shy at first. But once he knows you, prepare for a whirlwind of tail wags, playful nudges, and endless runs in the park!

Chile possesses a truly gentle soul, preferring calm greetings and gentle interactions. You won't find him jumping and licking boisterously; instead, he'll offer head nudges and soft wags. Once comfortable, Chile becomes a loving cuddle buddy who prefers his cozy dog bed or kennel over your furniture but will always be by your side, showering you with subtle affection.

Don't be fooled by his initial caution; Chile turns into a playful goofball once he warms up. He loves fetching toys, exploring the park, and going for car rides. Eager to please and always up for an adventure, he's the perfect companion for someone with patience and understanding.

Chile thrives in a home where his initial shyness is respected, allowing his true personality to bloom. He enjoys the company of children and other pets, provided his boundaries are respected. Housebroken, kennel trained, and leash trained, Chile is ready to join your family.

Are you looking for a loving, playful, and loyal companion who just needs a little extra patience at first? Chile could be your perfect match! Remember, patience and understanding will unlock his true, playful soul.

All of our Great Danes are altered, if medically possible, fully vetted, micro-chipped, and on heartworm prevention or treatment prior to being adopted. Thank you for considering adopting a rescue dog, you're saving a life when you adopt.

More about this rescue

To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.

To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.

We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
