My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I`m Onexya,
A bundle of pure puppy energy! I`m young, sweet, and oh so friendly. I love to play and explore, my curiosity knows no bounds. I would thrive on a routine and I`m quick to learn new tricks and commands, my intelligence shining through. Training will be a fun adventure for us both. I`m full of life and joy, always ready to make you laugh with my playful antics. I`m not a fan of cats, so a home without any feline friends would be perfect for me. I can be selective with dogs so a meet and greet will be required. I promise to make every day brighter with my friendly, playful spirit.Adopt me and let`s create unforgettable memories together!

More about this shelter

The Allegany County Animal Shelter serves as the municipal shelter for Allegany County and is located at 716 Furnace Street in Cumberland. For many years, the shelter served as the final destination for nearly 85% of the animals that entered it. In late 2010, a group of passionate citizens led the charge to change the nature of the shelter with a goal of doing as much as possible for every animal, every day. It was the first step on the journey to becoming A Shelter of Hope.
