Julius is a sweet and cheerful 1yo boy. We believe he is a cross between German & Australian shepherds due to his tri- colored long fur although he has a long German shepherd torso.
We rescued him from the highest kill CA shelter on the day he was set to be euthanized due to shelter having a viral outbreak. He was one of few lucky ones to make it out alive! He was abandoned there by his previous family. But now that the worst is behind he is looking forward to his new forever after.
Julius is very friendly pup about 1yo at 60lbs who is vaccinated, neutered, dewormed and microchipped.
His favorite activity is to run around the yard and make new friends. He is very affectionate and acts like a big boy but is a big submissive baby. He loves to eat, chase a ball and lounge in the sun. But ultimately he loves to be with his person. He can be emotional and would do best with someone who is looking for a Best Friend and a companion dog to do things with. Goofy, playful and full of life. He would be best as a human companion than a companion for another dog, although he loves other dogs and enjoys his playtime running around and being silly.
Julius is Not an apartment dog, he will get cooked up in a confined space. He has a loud bark even though he only uses it when it’s time to eat or there is a stranger outside the door even though he is friendly with strangers. This pup has not displayed any aggression towards a person or another animal. He has an overall kind demeanor. Cats compatibility unknown.
He would do best in a home with yard space or an active person experienced handling large breeds and do jogs with him. He is responsive and learns quickly.,
We are hoping for a loving home for this pup since he has been thru a lot and deserves a great home.
