Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Ripple
DOB/Sex: 11/30/23 / M
Breed: Unknown Mix
Known Health Issues: None at this time
Good with: Kids! Dogs! Cats!
NO DOG PARKS
Ripple came in to rescue with his mom, Sunshine (also available for adoption, see her here: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/40036015-niagara-falls-ontario-mixed-breed-medium-mix ) at just 1 day of age. Mom was dumped at a farm, so very little is known about her past, other than that she arrived very underweight. Sunshine is incredibly sweet, a trait that she has passed on to her puppies.
Ripple is going to be a BIG boy. Weighing in at 20.3lbs at 8 weeks, this, plus his build, puts him on track to be in the 100+lb range at maturity. As he is a mixy mixy mutt, this is a best guess, but an educated one. He gives me many mastiff-type vibes.
Ripple is a go with the flow, chill type of dude. He likes to let his sisters check everything out first, and observe. And then once deemed interesting and safe, he'll amble over and explore. He is very cuddly, and fairly gentle for a puppy, though of course still has zoomies, and bitey moments.
Ripple has not yet met cats, but is plenty young enough to properly introduce. Instilling boundaries, and following through with training is key. He is food motivated, and loves to follow you around!
Ripple is a very heavy bodied dog, and like most rescue dogs, not put together very well. Keeping him lean and fit will be key to keeping his body functional. Starting young with a fitness protocol is highly encouraged.
Ripple will need to return to Martindale Animal Clinic, St Catharines, for his 12, and 16 week vaccinations, and his neuter. Prospective adopters must be willing to bring him for these appointments. They are covered with his adoption.
Ripple is my big, squishy squish, who just wants to hang and explore the world with you. He will suit most active families looking for an adventure buddy. If this handsome man is the one missing from your life, please apply here: https://form.jotform.com/233466598767073 He looks forward to meeting you!
