Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Maggie.
Maggie was rescued from a hoarding situation in North Carolina. When she came to Maryland no one knew she was expecting. Surprise! Maggie is the mother of Starsky and Hutch. She is a 1-year-old Dachshund/ Chihuahua mix with possibly some Corgi thrown in. This may explain her bobtail and that her puppies were born with bobtails.
Maggie weighs in at just 12 lbs. Maggie is shy when you first meet her and will take some time to warm up to new people but whoever is lucky enough to adopt her and gives her that time will be rewarded for life with pure love. Maggie is housebroken, and good with dogs of all sizes and cats. Children scared her at first but she is slowly coming around. Maggie is scheduled to be spayed on March 4 and will be able to go to a forever home after March 6 unless an approved adopter lives near Stevensville, Maryland.
Maggie is fostered in Millington, Maryland.
Please Note:
We review veterinary care for applicants. This includes regular well visits, up-to-date and consistent core vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm and tick-borne disease testing, and regular monthly heartworm prevention.
You MUST contact your vet to permit them to speak to us for the vet check BEFORE we call them. We will not be able to call veterinarians multiple times and we would hate for an application to be turned down because no authorization is on file with the vet.
Application can be found at www.puppypawsrescue.org
If your application meets our adoption criteria, we will contact you within 1 week. You will then be asked to schedule an interview and virtual home visit. Please check your SPAM folder for emails from PuppyPawsRescue. Due to the volume of applications, applications that do not move forward to an interview, may not hear back from us within that time frame.
Our team is an all-volunteer team, managing families, our paying jobs, households, foster dogs, application processing, interviews and home visits, follow-up, transports, and much more. We ask that you be courteous and patient with us.
