Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is 5YO Nia. She`s one smart lady at DAS; she could teach some of the junior doggos some stuff. Staff observe Nia as sociable towards other dogs who have the same gentle demeanor as herself. She tends to avoid the loud & abnoxious ones. We`re not sure what Nia has experienced in her 5years prior but whatever it was her eyes tells us a story. What we`ve learned is Nia wants to `belong`--in a home filled with love and with people who won`t leave her behind. She wants to love and trust again. Her heart my be bruised but not beyond repair. We believe Nia`s got so much life in her to live and lots to love to share. We just need someone to give her that chance.

Come visit us and meet our wonderful adoptable pets! All adoptions are first come, first serve. All pets in the shelter must be adopted in person at 1818 North Westmoreland Road.

You must be 18 years-old to adopt a pet.

When picking up your new pet, please bring your driver’s license or other government-issued photo ID.
