My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Steely blue eyes. Nimble with fox-like features. Energetic and playful. Dare I say...perfect? That's Clifton alright! This sweet husky mix is everything you have been looking for in a playful companion.

Being a husky mix, he is ready to, and prefers to, spend his time being active and running. Have space for a sweet pup to run around in? He couldn't be happier. After all that activity, his ideal way to relax is in a quiet home without a lot of noise. You will know he is content as he rolls over and asks for belly rubs.

If you have a penchant for eating dog food, Clifton might take offense as he prefers keeping his food to himself. But we all have our quirks- right? Clifton is a wonderful addition to any home and would love to spend time with you in the fresh air and working on training. Calling all hikers, runners, and perhaps future Iditarod participants - Clifton is looking for you!

Additional adoption info

To adopt a cat or dog from PAWS Chicago:

- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a form of identification (license or state ID)
- Verify that you are allowed to have a cat/dog where you currently live.
- Be able to spend the time and resources necessary to provide the training, medical treatment and proper care for your cat.
- Bring along all family members (including children) to meet the cat/dog(s).
- Be able to take the cat/dog home on the day of adoption.
- Have the time to spend up to an hour with an adoption counselor to discuss the responsibility of owning a cat/dog and making it a lifetime commitment.

Adoption Fee:

- $150.00 for kittens
- $100.00 for cats 1-5 years of age
- $75.00 for cats 6-9 years of age
- $50.00 for cats 10 years and older
- $450.00* for puppies
- $350.00* for dogs 1-7 years of age
- $200.00 for dogs 8 years and older

*A $100.00 refundable training deposit is also required for each dog/puppy. This deposit is refundable upon completion of obedience training. You will have four months from the date of the adoption to complete a basic obedience class with your new puppy/dog. When you provide proof that your PAWS dog has completed a course, we will reimburse you the $100.00 deposit you submitted at the time of adoption.

- All age-appropriate vaccinations
- Microchip
- Lifetime guarantee if something happens to you or you can no longer care for your pet
- Support throughout the pets lifetime
