Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Hanson, a lovable 2-year-old black Labrador who is eagerly looking for his forever home! Nicknamed Happy Hanson, he is a bundle of joy with a heart as big as his wagging tail. He will greet you with a big smile, plenty of kisses, and a request for a belly rub. Hanson is 53 pounds of bouncy, happy love who can't wait to have a family of his own.
Hanson is a medium-energy, family-oriented pup who adores spending time with his people. He is extremely social and likes to play and run as much as he likes to snuggle with you while chewing on a toy. His favorite place is wherever you are. Hanson would thrive in a family with kids. While he is patient and forgiving, he still has some puppy energy, so a lab-experienced family or a family with slightly older kids may be best.
With some love, patience, and a little training, Hanson will grow into a well-mannered adult. His foster mom is currently working on potty training with him. Within a few days of positive reinforcement work, he learned the "potty" command (and is so proud of himself!) and is getting much better at "sit" and "wait" already. He is a quick learner and eager to please. He has been practicing walking on a leash and does very well. No pulling and just enjoys exploring. Hanson is really calm in his crate at night. His foster mom says he's getting better at the "crate" command too (with the help of a few treats). He has been going to work with his foster mom and loves meeting and greeting new people. He's so popular that the nurses across the street all come to see him on his potty walks just to get a quick snuggle in. His willingness to learn and adapt makes him an excellent candidate for a family looking to continue his training journey.
Hanson does have a limb difference on his front leg. He is not bothered by it at all, running, playing, and napping with his foster sister (a high-energy Australian Kelpie), and the vet said he is in excellent health.
Hanson's ideal home would be one filled with love, play, and a backyard for him to explore. He dreams of a family who will appreciate his quirks and share in the joy of his everyday antics. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a charming, sweet, and loveable goofball, Happy Hanson is the Labrador you've been waiting for.
