My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sex: Female

Breed: Pitbull/Chihuahua x

Estimated Date of Birth : 09/29/2023

Have you ever seen a pittie chihuahua cross? Well that’s exactly what we think Pippa is! With her small stature (only 20lbs right now) and Chihuahua looking face and ears she’s the best of both worlds. We don’t think she’ll reach much over 30lbs as an adult dog and she will likely retain her adorable puppy “looks” forever. Add to that her fun loving and incredibly friendly personality and you’ve got the perfect compact package. She’s a little doll and seriously so enthusiastic about life it’s infectious! She loves everyone and is currently in foster care learning all about home life and puppy manners.

This sweet girl, like so many juvenile dogs, found herself at our city shelter after she’d been picked up as a stray. The sheer number of older puppies in our shelters is overwhelming right now. So many never make it out and we are doing our best to get them out when we have room. Both Pippa and her kennel mate were a few of the lucky ones who got their chance.

Pippa is happily absorbing everything foster life has to offer. She’s quickly picking up leash walking and positive social skills. She came in just a touch unsure but has blossomed into a vibrant happy puppy who loves life, humans and doggie friends. Her favorite parts of foster care include the unlimited pets and all the toys and playtime her little heart can handle. She’s ready to find her perfect home with a family that understands puppies need continued guidance and training to grow into amazing adult dogs. Pippa is well on her way and just needs to find an adopter who will complete the puppyhood journey and give her the forever she’s been waiting for.
