Meet Tina (aka T.T.). She is a gorgeous 22 month-old Golden Retriever who came to GRRoIowa with her littermates Bruce and Phillip, as they were an accidental litter.
Tina and her brothers lived inside until the spring of 2023. She lived in an outside kennel prior to coming into the care of her GRRoIowa foster family.
Since Tina is back living indoors, she is slightly nervous with quick movements and when she hears typical household noises (vacuum, dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc.) but is overall adjusting well.
She loves to run, play fetch, and have the zoomies in her foster family’s fenced in yard. A physical fence is a requirement for her forever home.
Tina loves to sit on the couch and keep a close eye on her foster parents and resident dogs. When she is sleepy, you will catch her stretched out on the couch snoring away.
She is a happy girl that loves to play with her toys. She enjoys taking all her toys out to play with before she decides on the perfect one.
Tina is a typical puppy with high energy. She is working on commands of sitting and shaking currently. Tina loves to jump on people when you arrive home or when you take her out of her crate. This is her way of giving you hugs and love. Due to her jumping, she will need to be in a home with children that are over the age of 8. She is only 58 pounds, but she has strong hind legs!
She has not been cat tested, has had little experience on a leash (blame the snow and cold temperatures) and does occasionally have a random accident in the house. She also uses a slow feeder for her meals.
Tina will need a family with patience to allow her to adjust to her new home at her own pace so she can grow into a confident family member.
We are starting to take adoption applications but it will be a few weeks before Tina is ready to be adopted. She is currently in heat. When it is safe for her to have her spay surgery, she will be spayed.
If you would like to be considered for Tina’s forever home, complete an adoption application today!
