My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you searching for a feline friend who's as affectionate as she is independent? Look no further than Bella, a charming 4-year-old cat with a heart full of love and a spirit that craves both companionship and solitude. Bella is ready to bring warmth and affection into your home while also respecting your need for personal space.

Bella is a loving and affectionate companion who enjoys spending time with her favorite humans. She'll greet you with gentle purrs and soft headbutts, eager to show her affection and receive some love in return.

Despite her love for cuddles, Bella also appreciates her own space and independence. She's content to spend quiet moments alone, lounging in a sunny spot or exploring her surroundings at her own pace. Bella understands the importance of personal boundaries and will respect your need for space while still being a devoted and loving companion.

In addition to her affectionate nature, Bella is also litter box trained, making her a tidy and considerate housemate.

If you're ready to welcome a loving and independent companion into your life, Bella is waiting to meet you. Come meet this wonderful cat today and discover the joy of welcoming her into your home. Adopt Bella, and experience the unconditional love and companionship of a furry friend like no other!

bella qualifies for our Sponsored by Simba Program: Pets for Veterans: no adoption fee for any military veteran adopting a pet 1 year and older.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1929, the Brandywine Valley SPCA is the first open admission shelter in Pennsylvania to achieve No Kill status and serves as the only open admission shelter in both Chester and Delaware Counties. In 2015, the BVSPCA opened its first Animal Health Center in Malvern, Pennsylvania, making veterinary care more accessible to local residents. In 2016, the BVSPCA took on a five-year contract with the Delaware Office of Animal Welfare to provide state-wide animal services, and expanded its reach further into the tri-state area by opening both a second shelter and a second Animal Health Center in New Castle County, Delaware. Shortly after, a PetSmart Everyday Adoption Center was opened in Dover, Delaware. Its mission is to put the “human” back in humane animal treatment and to advocate on their behalf. Each year, the BVSPCA cares for more than 10,000 stray, owner-surrendered, wayward owned, and abused and neglected animals.
