My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My Adoption Fee is Waived!

Meet Chris Stapleton, a 4 to 5-year-old male Husky looking for his forever home! Since arriving at the shelter in January, Chris has made great strides in overcoming his shyness. He`s now comfortable going for walks and is not a strong puller after he gets going. Chris is a shining star with other dogs, often used to test new arrivals at the shelter due to his friendly and playful nature. He`s currently in a foster home where he`s appears to be house trained, uses a dog door, and is comfortable in his crate for 2-6 hours.

While still learning to trust humans, he`s making good progress. Chris is hesitant with receiving phycial affection but he likes to lay at his foster mom`s feet while she`s at working at her desk. Chris would do best in a quiter home as unexpected noises and fast movements scare him some. He would do well with someone who works from home who has patience and time to winning over Chris`s heart. As he has gotten comfortable in his foster home he really is a sweet boy that just needs someone to show him the world is not out to get him.

Are you ready to give Chris the loving home he deserves?

He would enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home who is a good role model to help Chris feel comforable in new settings.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out his playgroup video here:
