***SUPER SHY GIRL ALERT*** We’ve fallen in love with this extremely shy but smart girl over the past nearly six months in foster, and she actually knows what “do you want pets?” means when her foster human asks! This smart girl will go straight into her safe place (currently an extra large dog crate) and wait patiently for her pets. Sometimes her foster human doesn’t even need to ask! We think Bluebell surprised herself when she discovered that receiving pets isn’t so bad! In fact, butt scritches are the best, and Bluebell might even make a tiny biscuit or two while sticking her bootie up on the air. Her foster human can pet her all day long as long as Bluebell is in her safe space. She is the most beautiful gray, and she’s soft and squishy — she happily takes deep tissue massage pets just as happily as she takes gentle pets and ear rubs. She’s even let her belly get rubbed! Bluebell came to us as a tiny feral kitten scared of everything and everyone. Bluebell has never hissed, growled, or swatted when being touched on her own terms in her safe place, but she is not ready to be picked up or held yet — that freaks her out. She is coming closer on her own to her foster human during the day and lies right next to her while she teleworks. She is gradually doing better with not scampering away with every noise she hears or every stranger who enters the room, but it will take time. We believe with the right dedicated and patient, loving adopter, Bluebell will continue to thrive. She needs continued training to help her learn to seek affection from humans and gain trust in them (we know, Bluebell — we don’t trust most humans, either!). The Facebook group “Sustainable Socialization” is a highly recommended resource. Bluebell is a low key, curious, funny kitten who loves her sister Poppy to pieces and enjoys afternoon snoozes in the hammock with Poppy followed by hours of window watching. She climbs the highest heights in the room to survey the land below her, and she can really get going to town on her kitty condo scratching post. She wants to know what you’re doing when you’re nearby and follows you around from a safe distance. One look in those eyes, and you’ll want to be the human who shows Bluebell how wonderful it is to be a kitty in a loving furever home!

Thank you for applying to adopt one of our angels. We know you're excited but please bare with us. It can take up to 7-10 business days to process your application. We receive multiple applications everyday and our volunteers go over each one carefully to match our rescues to their purrrrfect furever home.
We are 100% in-home foster based so arrangements will have to be made with the foster of the rescue you are interested in. Once the social distancing restrictions have been lifted we will start hosting live adoption events at different locations.
